POPLA appeals service publishes first report

POPLA lead adjudicator Henry?Michael Greenslade sets out issues highlighted in first six months of appeals

Parking permits, the wording and location of parking signs and pay & display tickets that are not clearly visible from outside vehicles, have emerged as the most common reasons for motorists appealing against parking charges issued on private land.

These observations are made in the first report by the Parking Appeals on Private Land (POPLA) lead adjudicator Henry Michael Greenslade.

Between the launch of the service on 1 October 2012 and 31 March 2013, some 4,051 appeals were registered...
