The campaign to get people to use their cars a bit less has had a bumpy ride in recent years. Austerity prompted many councils to cut their ‘sustainable’ travel teams and consultancies shed staff too as work dried up. But then came the coalition’s £600m Local Sustainable Transport Fund and things looked rosy again, at least in those parts of England that won a share of the cake. But with LTSF?projects ending next April, the outlook for the travel behaviour change agenda...
