Durham council relaxes new non-residential space limits

Durham County Council is relaxing the rules on the number of car parking spaces for new non-residential developments. The council’s current maximum standards of parking provision were published in 2001 and based on the Government’s Planning Policy Guidance 13: Transport, which aimed to promote alternatives to car travel.
