Govia, a joint venture between the Go-Ahead Group (65%) and Keolis (35%), has been awarded the combined Thameslink, Southern & Great Northern franchise by the DfT.
The seven year franchise – which will be the UK’s largest – takes effect from 14 September 2014, though the Southern portion will not be transferred until that franchise expires in July 2015.
