A big shake-up to bus grant regimes across the UK is being recommended to encourage operators to purchase low carbon vehicles.

A report commissioned by the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership, a public/private partnership mainly funded by the DfT, proposes a capital grant for low carbon emission buses (LCEBs) based on a sliding scale of emissions. And it suggests reforms to Bus Service Operators Grant (BSOG), with the existing per kilometre grant payment uplift for LCEBs also paid on a sliding scale...
