Cyclists and road danger reduction campaigners have welcomed Transport for London’s decision to end the use of ‘Cyclists stay back’ stickers on vehicles in the capital.

Cyclist groups and the Road Danger Reduction Forum say the stickers, which appear on many commercial vehicles in the capital, imply that cyclists are “second class road users” (LTT 16 May). They are particularly unhappy that the stickers have appeared not only on HGVs – which can trap cyclists...
