Isle of Man parking fee increase will raise £5m

The Isle of Man government is increasing parking charges in a bid to save £5m in the current financial year to help balance the island’s budget.

The Department of Infrastructure is proposing a number of measures, including changes to parking charges. One of the measures would see the introduction of a £25 fee for residential permits. 

Other changes would see 50p increases on most parking tariff bands, in several Douglas car parks.
