The London Borough of Wandsworth is supporting plans for electric car racing in Battersea Park next summer.
The race would be part of the global Formula E programme organised by Formula E Holdings Ltd (FEL), which has already held races in China, Malaysia and Uruguay.
Cars would race along Battersea Park’s carriage drives over the weekend of 27-28 June. London mayor Boris Johnson has described the event as a “scintillating concept”.
