Transport for London has negotiated a £5,000 per vehicle discount with bus manufacturer Wrightbus on a new order of 200 New Routemaster vehicles. Sir Peter Hendy, London’s transport commissioner, said each vehicle would cost £349,500. The buses, due to be delivered in 2016, will be fitted with Euro VI engines, making them compliant with Transport for London’s proposed ultra-low emission zone.
