English Heritage is imposing a £15 charge for parking at Stonehenge during this year’s Summer Solstice celebrations. The charge is designed to encourage more people to use public transport or to car-share. This is the first time a charge will have been levied on revellers parking in fields near the Stonehenge visitors’ centre for the event, which attracted 40,000 people last year.
