Parliament must hear Treasury officials’ views of HS2

Peter Headicar says the Treasury is now in charge of transport policy, and that this, together with the political aspirations of the Chancellor, explains the emphasis on large infrastructure projects (Letters LTT 01 April). He cites HS2 in particular.
