Network Rail promises culture change to get rail enhancements back on track

Councils have long criticised Network Rail’s record of delivering enhancement projects, citing cumbersome procedures and habitual cost rises. Now NR is promising to change things for the better.

Major changes to the way Network Rail manages enhancement projects  are afoot, amid criticism that existing procedures are too cumbersome, too lax, and frequently result in sharp cost escalations.
