A fire brigade has warned that bad parking is preventing it responding to calls rapidly and so endangering life.

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service tweeted an image of a blocked fire engine to highlight the problem.

The service aims to be at the scene of an emergency in eight minutes, but its crews report bad parking could cost them up to five additional minutes.
