Reading Borough Council is to install real-time sensors across all of its on-street disabled bays as part of a European Union research project called SIMON.

SIMON (asSIsted Mobility for Older aNd impaired users) is a project that aims to use ICT services to promote the independent living and social participation of mobility impaired people by giving them information and access to public parking areas and multiple transport modes.
