Public inquiry to consider Chesterfield Restricted Parking Zone plan

A public inquiry will determine whether or not part of Chesterfield town centre should become a restricted parking zone.

Derbyshire County Council is proposing to change restrictions in the New Square area of the town, which is home to an open air market. It says that drivers often illegally and inconsiderately park, compromising pedestrian safety and access for emergency vehicles.
