TfL reveals more detail of bus safety standard

Transport for London has revealed more details of its proposed bus safety standard with which all new vehicles will have to comply.  

Leon Daniels, TfL’s managing director for surface transport, said last week that the standard, announced in February, could include automatic emergency braking, intelligent speed assistance (ISA), and changes to wing mirror design, windscreen glazing, and the front of a bus to reduce the impact of collisions.
