Scam artists are sending motorists emails purporting to be parking charge notices issued by private parking operators. The fake messages are supposedly from UK Parking Control. The company is a member of the British Parking Association (BPA), which has highlighted the fraud.
“Legitimate parking charge notices are not sent by email,” said the BPA. “The fake email ticket quotes a charge of £90 and suggests that photos and payment options ‘could’ be available....
