Users of the RingGo cashless parking service experienced problems paying for parking on 23 November, prompting concerns among drivers that they would receive penalty charge notices (PCNs) despite attempting to pay.

RingGo, which is provided by Cobalt Telephone Technologies, is available in over 230 towns and cities nationwide. The system is used by 125 local authorities, by private parking operators, at NHS sites, universities and at rail stations.
