Government to act against 'over-priced' electric vehicle charging, reports The Times

The government is expected to tackle overpriced electric car charging stations amid concerns that high prices are putting off buyers of electric and hybrid cars and making them as expensive to run as diesels.

The Department for Transport is set to introduce common standards for pricing between suppliers, according to The Times newspaper. Motorists can currently expect to pay up to £7.50 for a half-hour charge at some roadside charging stations.
