Tendering has opened for the contracts to supply an automated transit system to connect Luton Airport and the nearby Luton Airport Parkway railway station.
The airport and station are currently connected by a shuttle bus but the airport plans to build a “guided mass passenger transit system” for the 2.1km route, with opening scheduled for 2021.
