Derby City Council has invited tenders for a public bike hire scheme. The scheme, being developed with the University of Derby, is initially likely to feature about 15 docking stations and 115 bicycles (LTT 16 Dec 16). The D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership has pledged a capital grant of £480,000 and the university plans to provide a fixed sum over three years to support operating costs.
