Dumfries and Galloway Council is to lend bikes from its now defunct public bike hire scheme to a charity.
The Bike2Go public bike hire project was launched in Dumfries in 2010 with funding from the Scottish Government. The scheme, featuring 42 bikes, was operated by Hourbike Ltd.
Public funding for the Bike2Go ended in December 2013 but Hourbike continued operations until the end of 2015 when the bikes were removed and put into store.
