The quietest lorries could be exempted from the London Lorry Control Scheme (LLCS), following a review led by borough association London Councils.
The LLCS has been in place since 1985 and controls the movement of goods vehicles over 18 tonnes gross weight at night (9pm-7am) and weekends (1pm Saturdays to 7am Mondays) to minimise noise pollution in residential areas.
