ANPR cameras could replace barriers at Oxford hospitals

Automatic number-plate recognition (ANPR) cameras may replace parking barriers at two busy Oxford hospitals to alleviate parking problems.

Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to manage demand for parking spaces at the John Radcliffe and Churchill hospitals in Headington.

The idea of using ANPR was revealed by Matt Holmes, OUH’s travel and transport manager at a Community Transport Network meeting.
