Royal Mail is piloting a fleet of electric vans in London. The vehicles, supplied by Oxfordshire-based Arrival, come in sizes of three-and-a-half, six and seven-and-a-half tonnes. They will be based at Royal Mail’s main Mount Pleasant depot in London.
Paul Gatti, Royal Mail Fleet’s managing director, said: “We will be putting them through their paces over the next several months to see how they cope with the mail collection demands from our larger sites.”
