Police are looking into bogus notices warning people not to park on the streets of a Nottingham suburb.

The fake letters, which have been attached to railings and fences, warn drivers that they could be fined for leaving their car on Marham Close in the Sneinton area.

The letters claim to have been issued by Nottingham City Council’s traffic department. The notices warn drivers they could be fined £120 or have their vehicles removed by “a toe truck” [sic].
