More must be done to help those with “hidden disabilities” to use public transport or the pedestrian environment, a new guidance note from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) states.
The guidance, by CILT’s Accessibility & Inclusion Forum, is seeking to raise awareness among transport providers, council planners and designers to the needs of people whose disabilities are not visible to those around them.
