Lucy Porter to present British Parking Awards 2018

Lucy Porter has appeared on Live at the Apollo, Celebrity Mastermind, QI, Mock the Week, Insert Name Here, Have I Got News For You and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Lucy is also a successful comedy writer. She wrote The Fair Intellectual Club, which was first performed at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe before being commissioned by BBC Radio 4 as a six-part drama series. She was also one of the lead writers on ITV`s satirical animation series Headcases. Following the success of her 2017 solo show Consequences, in 2018 Lucy will tour with her latest show Choose Your Battles.

The winners of the British Parking Awards 2018 will be revealed on Friday 8 March by the comedian Lucy Porter.

Parking Review launched the British Parking Awards in 2002. Now in their 17th year, the annual competition encourages both public and private sector organisations to nominate people and projects that represent the best in parking management, design and innovation.

The competition is free to enter and the deadline for submissions is Friday 15 December.

Look, it’s Lucy Porter!

According to Time Out, Lucy Porter “is one of the most talented comics on the circuit”. Having had eleven Edinburgh Fringe shows and international tours, Lucy is a well-established and loved comedian.

On TV, she has recorded a set for Live at the Apollo and has appeared on The Celebrity Chase, celeb special of BBC 1’s Pointless and Celebrity Mastermind. Her panel show credits include QI, Mock the Week, Insert Name Here, Have I Got News For You and Never Mind the Buzzcocks.

The awards

The British Parking Awards encompass both the on-street and off-street sides of the parking sector. The diverse nature of the parking sector means that the competition has categories that cover buildings, technology and people.

The competition is free to enter and the deadline for submissions is Friday 15 December.

Entries are judged by a panel of experts made up of parking managers, transport and parking consultants, representatives from the major parking associations and bodies representing the motoring and freight industries.

The winners will be announced at a lunch held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on 9 March. The awards ceremony is an event attended by a wide range of people, including parking managers, parking attendants, car club operators, technologists, app developers, property developers, architects, engineers and building companies.

The British Parking Awards event is organised by Landor LINKS, which provides knowledge networks for people working in transport, parking and the urban realm.
