As electric cars grow in popularity demand for charging points is also increasing, but a survey of local authorities reveals that the provision of public charging infrastructure is uneven across the UK. The survey was conducted by property consultant JLL and the British Parking Association (BPA). Eighty councils replied, representing over a quarter of the UK’s local authorities.

A third (33%) of councils that replied had no electric vehicle charge points within their car park portfolios....
