A care worker stole an elderly woman’s Blue Badge in order to park in Leicester for free. Suriya Shoukhat failed to return the permit to the 72-year-old after taking her on a shopping trip.
When her employer, Sevacare (Leicestershire), asked Shoukhat if she knew where the permit was she claimed to have handed it back to the client.
Shoukhat had accumulated £10,000 in unpaid parking penalties, the court heard.
