A new multi-storey car park is set to open in the centre of Ipswich. The 546-space Crown car park has been created by Ipswich Borough Council to replace a structure demolished in 2009.
The new £5.5m multi-storey park replaces the old 1,000-space Crown car park, which had to be closed and demolished after it was found to be suffering from concrete corrosion.
The site then became a surface car park until work on the replacement structure began.
