Council ‘blind’ to shortcomings of Restricted Parking Zone signage, says chief adjudicator

Shortcomings in signing mean that Coventry City Council’s city centre parking scheme is not easily understood by motorists, the Traffic Penalty Tribunal (TPT) has ruled. Instead of road markings such as double yellow lines, the RPZ scheme uses ‘gateway’ signs placed at each entry point to the city centre to inform motorists that parking is restricted at any time.
