A Swansea Bay City Region joint committee is being set up to oversee the Swansea Bay city deal and take a regional approach to planning, transport and economic development. The committee comprises four councils: the City and County of Swansea; Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot and Pembrokeshire. Transport did not feature in the City Deal signed with the UK and Welsh Government last March.
