A team from Total Car Parks volunteered to help a nighttime charity walk in Colchester. Total Car Parks’ IT and administration departments managed the parking for the Hats and Hairdos Midnight Walk on 23 June.
The 900-plus participants raised an estimated £85,000 for the St Helena Hospice, an Essex-based charity that helps people living with terminal illness and their families.
The walkers set off at 10.30pm and could follow either a 3-mile or 7.5-mile route starting and finishing at The Livestock Market.
Georgina Norton, senior administrator for Total Car Parks, said: “It was a fantastic event with a colourful atmosphere. This is the tenth anniversary of the Midnight Walk, which is very fitting as Total Car Parks is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year too. We have been proud to support the charity from the start.
“People wore crazy hats and wigs and dressed in wacky outfits. It was a tremendous turnout for an excellent cause and we were glad to be a part of it.”
