A news item on page 15 of the last issue has left me very puzzled (‘Compare benefits of busway and cycleway’ LTT 20 Jul). The Landscape Architects Association (LAA) is of the belief “that when integrated with rail for longer trips, investment in cycleway networks is cheaper, healthier more reliable and more sustainable than investment in guided busways” (My emphasis).
This raised in my mind two simple questions: Why can cycleway networks not be integrated with buses?...
