A decade has passed since the Welsh Government decided that parking should be free at all NHS hospitals in Wales. Only now has the commitment been met in full, with the abolition of parking charges at the largest hospital, the University Hospital of Wales (UHW). The reason that UHW still charged for parking was because this was an aspect of the hospital’s contract with Indigo, which concluded on 4 June. 

Parking on the site is now managed for the Cardiff and Vale University Health...
