A new cyber security standard for developing self-driving car technology was released by the British Standards Institute (BSI) on 19 December 2018.
Funding by the Department for Transport has enabled the BSI to develop the guidance to set a marker for those developing self-driving car technology. The institute worked with academics and experts from businesses in the car industry including Jaguar Land Rover, Ford and Bentley, as well as the National Cyber Security Centre.
