AppyParking and Visa launch sensor-linked Smart City Parking service in Harrogate

A cashless payment system that uses parking bay occupancy data collected by sensors to help drivers locate and pay for their stay via a smartphone app has been launched in Harrogate. The Smart City Parking system has been devised by AppyParking and is being supposed by Visa Europe. AppyParking and Visa are working with North Yorkshire County Council, which is responsible for on-street parking, and Harrogate Borough Council manages off-street car parks.
