The number of cars declared SORN (Statutory Off Road Notifications) has risen by nearly 4,000,000 cars since 2008. Data from the DVLA (Driving and Vehicle Licensing Agency) shows that the number of vehicles declared SORN has risen from 1,201,340 in Q3 2008 to 5,134,244 in Q3 2018, while the number of vehicles declared off the road peaked in Q1 2018.
