Half of UK motorists would be likely to choose either a plug-in hybrid or electric vehicle as a main or second household car in the next five years. And the same number would be willing to buy a pure electric battery car as a second vehicle.

These are key findings of a TRL study into UK consumer attitudes to pure electric vehicles. The Consumers, Vehicles and Energy Integration (CVEI) project was undertaken by TRL for the Energy Technologies Institute (ETI).
