Islington is to create five kerbside parklets over the coming year. With shrubs, a tree, seating and bike stand, the parklets will add greenery to the north London borough’s streets and offer a place for residents, workers, cyclists and visitors to rest.
The first parklet was created on Central Street in June, with others to follow in Banner Street, Baldwin Street, Bickerton Road and Waterlow Road. The parklets will initially be in place for a year.
