Almost 4,000 drivers a day are being caught on camera in London committing moving traffic offences such as driving into a bus lane or stopping in a yellow box junction.
The figures were obtained through a series of Freedom of Information requests made to London boroughs by motoring organisation the RAC.
Almost 1.5 million penalty charge notices (PCNs) were issued for moving traffic offences across 29 of the 33 London boroughs in 2017/18 – a year-on-year increase of 30%.
