A 1960s car park sitting in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle has been given listed building status. The protected status was awarded by Historic Environment Scotland (HES), which said that Castle Terrace car park is recognised as Scotland’s first modern multi-storey and was designed to sit in a sensitive setting at the western foot of Edinburgh Castle Rock.
