Nottingham’s WPL generates £61m

Nottingham’s workplace parking levy (WPL) has raised £60.8m net revenue for transport improvements in its first seven years. 

Nottingham City Council implemented the levy on 1 April 2012 and remains the only authority in the country to have done so. 

The levy applies to employers providing 11 or more liable spaces.  It began at £288 per space and this year is £415.
