Rail industry suppliers have voiced pessimism about the coming year. A survey of 174 business leaders by ComRes on behalf of the Rail Industry Association found that 53 per cent do not expect the industry to grow in the coming year and 28 per cent expect it to contract. Two in five did not expect their business to grow, with 18 per cent saying their business is likely to contract.
