London’s east-west Crossrail scheme needs even more money to be completed and will definitely not open in 2020, the project’s management has said.
Crossrail Ltd has advised that an extra £400m-£650m is needed for the central tunnel section between Paddington and east/southeast London, and the tunnel will not open until 2021.
