‘Growing interest in zero emission zones’

Transport for London is reporting growing borough interest in establishing zero emission zones (ZEZs) in which all fossil fuel vehicles are banned. 

The mayor’s transport strategy recommends that TfL and boroughs should create town centre zero emission zones from 2020 and a central London zero emission zone by 2025. It also proposes making the whole of London a zero emission zone by 2050 at the latest.
