Welsh transport chief champions bigger rail station P&R sites

Car parks at railway stations need to be scaled up by a factor of at least 10 in order to make a meaningful impact on transport carbon emissions, a senior transport officer has said. While much of the decarbonisation debate focusses on vehicle technologies, many transport professionals argue that persuading more people to switch from car to public transport would achieve faster reductions in carbon emissions.
