Network Rail and East Midlands Railway opened the extended the car park at Market Harborough station on 15 December. Before the upgrade, there were 300 car parking spaces at the station. The extension has provided an additional 200 spaces.
Market Harborough station is currently being upgraded as part of the Midland Main Line Upgrade.
Network Rail will also be straightening the track through the station, enabling trains to travel through the area at higher speeds.
