EV cables on footways ‘may be necessary for CO2 emergency’

The public may have to accept electric vehicle charging cables running across footpaths as a consequence of council climate emergency declarations, a London borough has suggested. 

The London Borough of Hounslow is to consult on a pilot scheme allowing residents with on-street parking to trail electric vehicle charging cables across footways from their domestic electricity supply.
